Match Report from Amy Gear - Age 7. Today i went and see my brother play football . The score was 1-1 . We was against east coker. I went to the park.James high scored a very good goal! It was very cold and there was slet and rain . My fingers was so cold my mum had to give me her gloves . All of the panthers was very ill they all had a cough . One player had to go home because he was very ill. And one of the players was sick but he still wanted to play! ...

Its "High Fives" tonight for the Lyde Panthers after a fantastic 11-0 victory against Parcroft Tigers. The boys hit the net on 10 occasions against Ilminster on sunday but went one better tonight by scoring an all time record 11 !! After a pitch inspection at Barwick due to the wonderful English weather it was James High who hit 5 goals that helped the Panthers to another 3 points. The Panthers 1st friendly of the season ended in a 10-2 defeat to Ilchester Lions.

With the Panthers side missing 5 players it was always going to be a battle against last seasons champions.

The match was played over 3 x 20 minute thirds.

Talin Ford-Fairbrass netted both goals for the Panthers in the final 3rd.
